I wonder if it might be the linear portion of a <i>Chilocampyla psidiella</i> mine: "A narrow serpentine track on the upperside of the leaf, later broadening into a large irregular blotch mine; the upper epidermis turns white and makes the mines very noticeable at a distance." We found a new species of <i>Chilocampyla</i> in Florida, and the adult is really cool--when at rest, it constantly rocks from side to side, all the while swinging its antennae in wide circles.
